What are AHA's?
AHA's are alpha hydroxy acids which assist with exfoliation of unwanted dead skin cells and also stimulate production of collagen in the deep layer of the skin which helps reduce wrinkles and fine lines.

Why is it important to exfoliate the skin regularly?
The reason young children have such beautiful skin is that they have virtually no dead skin cells on the surface of their skin. When light shines on a child's skin it looks translucent and smooth. In contrast, as we age the skin cell turnover process slows down, resulting in a build up of dead skin cells on the surface. This can result in clogged pores and dull, less youthful looking skin. By exfoliating the dead skin daily, the skin appears more translucent and clearer.

Is exfoliating the skin every day safe?
The process of removing the outer dead layer of the skin cells is known as exfoliation. This beauty secret has been practiced for centuries by men and women all over the world. Men who shave exfoliate every day.

Will my skin become more sun-sensitive?
Tests show that using products that contain Glycolic Complex does not make the skin more sensitive to the sun. Daily use of sunscreen as recommended would more than compensate for the slightly greater sun penetration associated with the use of AHA's. Because most skin ageing is caused by sun damage, the use of ASAP Daily Moisturiser with Sunscreen every day is strongly recommended, no matter what the weather is like or even if you are indoors. Think of sunscreen as insurance for your skin.

 Is sun protection important?
Sun protection is very important as most aging changes in the skin is due to sun damage. There are two types of UV rays which damage skin, UVB (burn) and UVA (aging).

Are the ASAP products tested on animals?
No, our products are not tested on animals (only on human volunteers !).

Are the ASAP products safe to use during pregnancy?
Yes, absolutely.
