About Us
Smallfish was developed by three
kiwis with a shared vision. Thankfully their skillset is more diverse - which means
Smallfish is not just a powerful tool but a good looking one too.

Shane Bartle, Founder and developer
Shane founded his first software company while still at high
school. While this didn't help him get a girlfriend it was the beginning of a long
love affair with making people‑friendly software. While building yet another online
shopping site for a friend in 1995 he realised that the only way that it was possible
to have your own web shop was to shell out lots of cash or make friends with a geek.
Who wants to do either of those? He hopes that you have as much fun using Smallfish
as it was to make and now nurture.

Tim Christie, Founder and designer
Award winning graphic artist, deck builder and dog owner, Tim
Christie is a freelance graphic artist whose eye for detail has occasionally driven
his colleagues mad with such demands as “can you move that half a pixel to the left?”
In his spare time Tim likes running and biking up large muddy mountains and creating
works of art about running and biking up large muddy mountains.

Andrew Bartle, Founder and developer
Andrew's passion for technology started young so a career in
technology was inevitable. He enjoys the fresh and evolving challenges of internet
development. He has a love of community theatre, having directed and performed in
many shows. The arrival of his young son has put that on hold but he looks forward
to the time the two of them can take the stage together! Many of you have conversed
with Andrew after contacting the company. Andrew also operates
Brooklyn IT Limited, a web and software development company, and recently
launched a website for serious quiz enthusiasts.
